Minor Shoe Dilema

One of the things I was looking forward to purchasing were some nice comfy flip flops to change into for the reception. While I was at the meeting with my dress designer the other day, I mentioned this to him and his head nearly spinned. He informed me that I will not be allowed to take my shoes off {yes he was serious!}. In his own words, "If you can't wear the heels, don't buy the shoe."

There goes my dreams right out the window...

Not that I can't walk in my shoes, but the heels are a bit skinny to dance in for my comfort. This leaves me with 1 of 2 options:

1) Buy platform flip flops
2) Find a shoe with a thicker heel that I can use to dance in

If you'll remember, these are my wedding shoes: {I will need to find something with the same height}

I love these Lily Pulitzer sandles but not the $232 price tag. The heel also doesn't give me the height I would need.

These are a more affordable option. They're not my favorite, but I think I can certainly rock them and I would definitely be able to dance while retaining a good height so that I'm not tripping over my dress or constantly lifting it up. Another plus is that I can dye them. They still aren't as high as my wedding shoes so I'm still undecided. Decision, decisions, decisions...

I decided to wear flops for the ceremony for this exact reason. Have you found any platform flips flops? I have a pair from a couple of years ago, I think they were from Kohl's. Good luck!
