Something Blue For My Bridal Blues
I wonder how many other people are ready for 2008 to be over. Ackk, I am so over this year. The past few weeks have just been bad news upon more bad news, but enough about that. My own personal blues got me thinking about my "something blue" for the wedding.
Unfortunately my Great Grandmother is no longer with us but I was very close to her. I wanted to honor her in some way for the wedding and feel as though a part of her is there with me. She met Mr. Golden before she passed away and I am so happy because she gave us her blessings.
I absolutely adore brooches. They are the next thing on my list of things to "actively" collect. My Great Grandmother had quite a few brooches and my favorite is this little one with blue rhinestones: {I tried to take pictures of it in different backgrounds to show some contrast}
I intend to have it wrapped on my bouquet. It will account for my "something borrowed" and "something blue". There are actually a few rhinestones missing from it but I have decided against trying to restore it. I think it's more meaningful to leave it just the way she left it. My only concern is that it's a little on the small side. Should I have something else to go with it, perhaps a locket or bouquet charm?
Thoughts and opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I love brooches, and that one is pretty. I want one on my bouquet.
I'm very over 2008 too. And I have to tell you that the photo of you two under "golden couple" is just too fabulous!
i LOVE it. i think that its beautiful (and meaningful) just by itself.
