Shopping Over the Holiday Weekend

As my food digested on Thanksgiving Day, I contemplated back and forth if I wanted to conjure up the energy to hit up the shopping outlets at 12AM like all the other crazed Black Friday shoppers.  Ultimately, I punked out and retreated to bed.  By Saturday I was eager to get out there and see what the stores had.

I've been in total "home mode" lately.  I can go out with the intention to get something much needed for myself and end up buying something for our future home.  It's all I ever think about- even more than the wedding.

Today, with no particular thing in mind to buy, I stumbled across the perfect wall art to compliment the bathroom set I'm registered for.

This is the bathroom set:

And here is my lucky find for our future bathroom walls:

As I happily made my way to the register, I also spotted these monogrammed butter spreads and needless to say, I had to get them, too:

I'm trying not to go overboard on the "home buying" because my shower is right around the corner, but some things are just hard to pass up.  I'm making a conscious effort to stay away from kitchen appliances, pots, plates, and bedding- but everything else is up for grabs!

Did anyone else do some shopping over the holiday weekend?

When I saw these pillar and taper candle holders, I automatically knew they were leaving the store with me. Here's my unity candle holders!

Excuse the clutter in the back, my desk is a working desk!

Fantastic Finds!

A few weeks back, I was in Old Navy browsing for nothing in particular when I came across these bags:

I instantly thought about my flower girls. I thought it would be an awesome way to display their gifts at the rehearsal dinner. I didn't want to buy them impulsively so I actually left them in the store.

The little voice in me kept saying things like, "You know you really want them. C'mon they're on sale. You're never going to find them again and then you're gonna be sorry." Damn those inner voices, but they never lie! The very next day I went back to the store and purchased two. Now I have the pleasure of shopping for things to fill {or should I say "plant"} them with!

Fantastic Finds!

I love all aspects of shopping. Every store is a new opportunity to find some type of treasure. I even value window shopping. I have a different outlook on things when I shop. I will literally walk up and down every aisle for inspiration. I find the most unique items and best deals when I'm not even looking for anything in particular.

I bought a fantastic pair of candleabras with intentions to decorate the start of the aisle when I was thisclose to signing a contract at another reception venue a few months ago. That venue didn't provide any ceremony decoration and I wanted to spuce it up a bit. Although I've decided not to get married there, and my new reception venue provides ceremony decorations, I would still love to find a place to incorporate these candleabras. Check them out:

I have decided to put them on the sides of the sweetheart table and I'm guessing that they will look divine in my future dining room!
